Sage 300 is slow on Windows 10. Progress bar sometimes shows when launching Sage 300 functions. When launching Sage 300 functions “Antimalware Service Executable” will show in Task Manager, using up CPU as it scans each Sage function before it launches.
Sign into the administrator account on Windows 10. Open the Settings app and go to the Update & Security group of settings. Select Windows Defender and scroll down to the ‘Exclusions’ section. Click ‘Add an exclusion’.
Click ‘Exclude a folder’ and add the local installation folder for Sage 300 as well as the location of the Shared Data Directory. Once these folders are excluded Sage 300 performance should increase.
