Error: Your user id is not associated with an employee record

Problem Details:

When trying to submit a Timesheet in the Time and Expenses module an error message show stating: "Error: Your user id is not associated with an employee record"

Solution Details

This error usually displays when the contact associated with the User does not match the contact associated with an employee record.

Go to Company from the top navigation bar.
Click Users under Lists.
Click "View" for the desired user.
Take note of the contact indicated in "Contact name".


Go to Company from the top navigation bar.
Click Employees under Lists.
Click "View" for the desired employee.
Take note of the contact indicated in "Primary contact name".


If the contact for the user and the contact for the employee record do not match the following message will display "Error: Your user id is not associated with an employee record". Update the "Contact Name" and "Primary contact name" fields to the same value to resolve the issue.
