Problem Details:

Error: You Do Not Have A License To Use This Product

If you receive an error message that you do not have a license, first check if you can access the Shared Directory. Start the registry editor by clicking Start->Run and typing regedit. For 32 bit environments, the Shared Data path is located under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACCPAC International, Inc.\ACCPAC\Configuration. For 64 bit environments, it's under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ACCPAC International, Inc.\ACCPAC\Configuration. Try to navigate to this location in Windows Explorer. If you can open the directory, try to create a text file in it to verify that you have the appropriate read/write permissions in the directory. If you can see the directory and create a text file but still can't start Sage 300 ERP, try the following:

  1. Run the RegAcc utility to register Sage ocx and dll files

    • Find the Program Files directory in the same registry location as above

    • Navigate to the Program Files directory\Runtime

    • Right click on RegAcc.exe and select Run as Administrator

    • RegAcc.log will be generated and can be opened to verify all dlls were registered successfully

  2. Optionally speak to your System Administrator about disabling UAC on your machine

  3. Try running Sage 300 ERP as Administrator

    • Right click the Sage 300 ERP icon

    • Select Run as Administrator

  4. If it runs successfully as Administrator, set Sage 300 ERP to run as Administrator by default

    • Right click on the Sage exe or shortcut

    • Select Properties and go to the Compatibility tab

    • Set Sage to run as Administrator by default
