Sage 300 ERP UI Container has stopped working when running a report

Problem Details:

When running a report a message displays stating: 

"Sage 300 ERP UI Container has stopped working"

The report does not run successfully. Other functions in Sage 300, like data entry screens, work fine.

Solution: 

Please read entire article before implementing solution.

This issue can be related to installation. Try these steps to resolve the issue. 

Open Sage 300 ERP, on the Menu Bar select Help -> System Information...

Look for the field name System Manager Version and note if any product updates are installed. 

Log into the machine as a local administrator (a Windows user account that has permissions to install programs locally). 

Go to the Windows Start Menu and type UAC (User Account Control), press enter.

A window will display with a slider on the left hand side. Make note of where the slider is currently positioned. Now drag the slider all the way down to "Never notify" and press OK. 

Reboot machine.

Log back into the machine as a local administrator and go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features. Find Sage 300 ERP XXXX on the list (where XXXX is your version of Sage 300 ERP), right click on it, select Change, select Repair, press Next. Wait for the repair install to complete. 

Install any product updates that were previously installed. See How to Install Product Updates for Sage 300 for assistance with this process.  If these cannot be located please contact your Sage Business Partner or your internal IT department. 

Go to the Windows Start Menu and type UAC (User Account Control), press enter.

A window will display with a slider on the left hand side. Slide the slider back to its original position. Press OK.

Reboot machine.

Log into the machine as the user having the issue and run the report.
