Error in Portal: Java, Execution Exception, UmbrellaException

Problem Details:

When launching the Sage Portal in Internet Explorer, or when opening one of the dashboard items, one of the following types of errors is displayed:

"One or more exceptions caught, see full set in UmbrellaException#getCauses"

"java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string:"



This is usually an issue with IE11.  Open IE and click on Tools then F12 Developer Tools.  Go to the Emulation tab.  In the User agent string field, change the setting to Internet Explorer 10 and then close the screen.  The portal will now operate successfully. 

Unfortunately, this setting will change back to default as soon as the browser is closed, and will need to be adjusted each time IE is opened to launch the portal.  It may be more efficient to downgrade IE to version 10 until the portal is fully compatible with IE11.
